EyeSDN® USB-E1

a multifunctional ISDN device for PRI-lines

Description / Features

The EyeSDN USB-E1 is a call recording device for the 30 phone lines of an ISDN E1 or the 23 phone lines of an ISDN T1 primary rate interface. The E1/T1 line is passively tapped with a high impedance circuit.

The digital contents of the ISDN frames is transferred to the PC via a USB cable, which is also used to power the device. Software on the PC decodes the information in the D channel and creates audio files from the B channel data during active calls. All data is stored on the hard disk of the PC operating the device.

The EyeSDN USB-E1 has 4 multi-colour status LEDs. These indicate:

  • device and USB activity,
  • signal status (loss of signal, G.704 framing lock) per wire pair,
  • layer 1 and layer 2 activity and
  • B channels in use/calls in progress.

The software can detect various line states and fault conditions (AIS, remote AIS, CRC4 error, multi-framing, coding violation, LOS, G.704 lock, frame slip). The device can be connected to E1, T1 and J1 lines.

The small form factor and rugged enclosure make EyeSDN USB-E1 suitable for stationary and mobile use.
